Nayak Service Van at Nayak Station FLL

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, The Netherlands, January 28th 2014

NAYAK opens further station: CPH & FLL
Important milestone for the Nayak Group

At the end of last year Nayak Aircraft Services expanded its Line Maintenance support network with two new Line Maintenance stations: Copenhagen (CPH) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). With Nayak Station FLL, NAYAK has taken a first step towards establishing a firm foothold in the United States, underlining Nayak’s strategy for global presence in Line Maintenance.

NAYAK has already been successful in Europe for many years. With the additional station in Copenhagen and offices at Oslo (OSL), Helsinki (HEL) and Stockholm (ARN), NAYAK now has branches in all Scandinavian countries. The company can reflect on a period of healthy growth from seven stations in Germany in 2000 to no less than 27 Line Maintenance Stations in Europe, Russia and the USA today. At the two new stations NAYAK will be providing maintenance as well as stock management of spare parts for different aircraft types. Support started for Boeing 787 aircraft under EASA Part 145 Approval, in the course of 2014 the support will be extended to other aircraft types.

NAYAK had to establish an American company to enable its operations in Fort Lauderdale, which was not an easy thing to do. “Opening a branch in the US took a lot of work as we had to deal with completely different regulations as well as a considerable time difference,” explains Nayak’s Managing Director Luuk Houting. “We are proud that we managed to finish everything successfully and on time. The daily B787 operations have been in full swing for several weeks now and they mark an important step in expanding our services on American soil.”
